FightStar 4.0 sees the event’s very first Woman’s MMA fight on the 31st of August.
After the last fight was cancelled due to a fighter not being able to make the fight when the date was unfortunately pushed
FightStar promises to make up for it when we see Santa-Marie ‘ The Surgeon’ Venter take on Natasha Elliot
After witnessing the training at Trinity MMA, Natasha took to the sport purely for fitness and excersize but soon found in her one on one sessions that fighting was one of her hidden talents, Starting in Febraury 2012, Natasha Elliot took to her training at Trinity and became a very strong all – round fighter from techniacl ground work to explosive stand up ability. Her first fight happened at the 2012 Nelspruit Fight Night where she dominated her opponent in a huge TKO victory in the 1st round.
From an early age Santa-Marie Venter began her career in Karate becoming the World All Styles Kumite Champion as well as a 2 time SA All Styles Kumite Champion, Santa-Marie then moved on to Ninjistu until 3 years later when she moved over to
kickboxing. Training at Shido Fighting Systems Santa-Marie became the first female to ever attempt and to pass their “Fighter’s Test”. Mid 2012, Santa-Marie moved to Team Mayhem and is now on the look out to make her MMA Debut to showcase her deadly striking skills and dominant ground work in the hexagon.
Aiming to bring the amateur MMA scene into the biggest spotlight possible, FightStar focuses on developing fighters for the big stage at EFC Africa. Giving Fighters the opportunity to perform and showcase their talent infront of EFC Africa President Cairo Howarth and EFC Africa Match Maker Graeme Cartmell.
